Conveniently located high in the forest less than 2 miles from the heart of Mohican, this secluded 3 bed Rustic A-frame built in the 70's features a hot tub & outdoor fire ring surrounded by towering trees. Covered front porch offers stunning views into the forest below. Inside you will find a main floor Kitchen, Living Room, Bathroom and Bedroom and a second-floor lofted bedroom that overlooks the living room. The lower level features a pool table, 3rd bedroom, and an additional full bath. Enjoy your days hiking or taking in the scenes at the state park, floating down the Mohican river or just spending time at the cabin.
Kitchen (Updated 2022): Granite, Solid Wood Cabinets,Range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher,standard & Keurig stylecoffee maker, pots & pans, dinnerware and cutlery to accommodate 6 people.

Driveway notice: Drive way is long and steep. 4 wheel drive/All Wheel Drive is recommended in the winter.
The Security Deposit of $250 is a hold, not a charge, on your Credit/Debit Card from a day before check-in until 7 days after checkout. Your card is only charged if I claim damage during that timeframe. If I do not claim damage during that timeframe, the hold will be automatically released from your card on the 7th day after checkout. Since the card account is not technically charged, just held, the hold that you see on your online statement may just disappear instead of showing as a credit. I will always contact you to discuss any damages prior to charging your card. Please ignore any other posts that states we will collect the security deposit at the house. This is inaccurate and there is currently not an option to remove that language. Sorry for any confusion.

Summary: This was my second time staying at a property managed by Drew. It comes as advertised. It was the perfect weekend getaway! It's a beautiful property, and very secluded, but still close enough to town should you need anything. There are plenty of different spaces on the property for you to enjoy. The inside space is roomy and comfortable and there is a nice deck and a fire ring outside. We didn't use the hot tub much but it's certainly was nice to have! I would highly recommend staying there and will definitely be looking to go back. in the property

Summary: The property was beautiful! The chalet was very clean and well maintained. The heated flooring made the lower level so cozy. The owner was very responsive to our questions. We would highly recommend and would book again!

Summary: We booked this trip last minute to celebrate our engagement. Being winter in Ohio, the weather conditions were unfavorable. Drew reached out to make sure I knew 4-wheel drive was a must to get up the driveway and offered to switch our weekend to another open weekend if we didnt want to travel during the bad weather. He made sure the drive was as clear as possible before our arrival and to let him know if we had any issues. The driveway is steep and can be icy in spots but if you take your time and have 4 wheel drive youll be fine. I gave a 4 on cleanliness because there were some dead bugs around but I feel like thats to be expected because youre in the middle of the woods. Would definitely stay again! We had a great time celebrating.

Summary: Cabin is very cute & is accurately described in the listing; we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Our only feedback, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the supplies felt very "bare bones". Things like spray oil for cooking, an ice cube tray, body wash, and extra blankets/throw blankets for living room area should be supplied IMO (especially since bedding comforters are extremely thin). That in combination of the many many stern "reminders" on signs all over the property or in check-in messages of the various ways one will be charged a fine or lose their deposit was a bit off putting.

Summary: While easy to access and not far from the main road, the property had a feeling of seclusion and privacy due to the abundance of trees. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub day or night with no outside noise or disruption. The deck and firepit were very nicely appointed but due to the weather, we didnt spend much time outside except to get to the hot tub. The house itself was very clean and well stocked with all we needed. We cooked all our meals in the house and appreciated the well equipped kitchen. No shortage of dinnerware, pots and pans, utensiles and quality appliances. Beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding and towels. Overall, great experience and we would happily stay again at the Rustic Chalet.

Summary: We had a great time with our family over the Thanksgiving holiday in this sucluded A Frame house. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was nice staying at a place with plenty of towels and toilet paper... too often these items are over looked. We wpuod stay again.

Summary: We loved this A-frame for our little get away. The location was great & the property was lovely. We were very comfortable-we really felt like were were in the "wilderness" for our stay. We were also close enough to all the attractions in Loudonville.
